岩坂聡子展「幽玄往来」

武蔵小杉の高願寺さまで、2019年至心學舍での展示「すぐろの」以来、６年ぶりの個展を行います。会場は、グランドプリンスホテル新高輪敷地内から移転された、旧宮家の数寄屋造りの幽篁堂で行います。

「幽篁」とは奥深い竹藪の意味ですが、誰かと繋がることもなく、じぶん独りの時間に浸るということが、難しい時代になってきました。それでも、そのような自分だけの世界が拓ける可能性は、ありふれた日常の中にも、見過ごしているだけでたくさんあることでしょう。幽篁堂の建築や周囲も、併せて楽しんで頂ければと思います。

Satoko Iwasaka Solo Exhibition “Yugen-Orai”

Right nearby “Shiei Todoroki Ground Iriguchi” bus stop, 5 minutes by bus from Musashi-Kosugi Station. 

I will be holding my solo exhibition this coming November at Koganji Temple in Musashi-Kosugi, following “Sugurono” at Ishin-Gakusha in 2019.

The exhibition will take place in Yukodo, a sukiya-style wooden structure once belonging to the former imperial family, relocated from the grounds of the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa.

“Yuko” refers to a deep bamboo grove. In today’s world, it has become increasingly difficult to immerse oneself in solitary time, away from constant connections. Yet, even within ordinary daily life, there are countless overlooked moments when such a private, self-reflective world can open up.

I hope you will also enjoy the architecture of Yukodo and the surrounding atmosphere, along with the exhibition.
